Code for America Brigade is an organizing force for local civic engagement - a national network of civic-minded volunteers who contribute their skills toward using the web as a platform for local government and community service.
Software
Code for America actively manages or tracks scores of civic, open source software projects. We regularly feature projects for attention during civic coding campaigns like the Great American Civic Hack.
Community
Code for America Brigade is a goals-oriented and outcomes-driven community of 2000 members and growing. There are public forums for members, organizers and local chapters called brigades. Brigade is supported by a team at Code for America who help brigade captains, organizers and members get the most out of their experiences.
Volunteering
